A Duplex Apartment with Character on Linkeroever
Sometimes, an interior story begins with a small detail – a spark of inspiration. For this client, a passionate archaeologist, it was a mosaic she had seen in one of our previous projects. Her love for history and refined details set the tone and concept for the renovation of her duplex apartment on Linkeroever.

With a wide view of Linkeroever’s natural surroundings, the interior is fully custom-designed. The living room features an ashwood library, perfect for her extensive book collection, while the dressing area, made of the same warm wood, seamlessly extends into the bedroom. In the study and guest bedroom, the cabinets are crafted with a unique Homapal finish and a soft pastel shade – a subtle nod to classic interiors.

All technical systems, from electricity to plumbing, have been renewed, and the layout of the bathrooms has been completely redesigned. What was once cramped and purely functional now feels spacious and luxurious. The master bathroom is a true eye-catcher, featuring a rose-gold mosaic and a natural stone floor, while the guest bathroom is elegantly finished with stucco. New floors flow seamlessly throughout the apartment, and soon, a custom-made staircase will be added to connect the spaces.

For the client, the journey home is just as special as the apartment itself. Crossing by boat or cycling along the Scheldt makes every trip to Linkeroever a moment of peace and admiration. An interior where history, craftsmanship, and personality come together – exactly as she envisioned it.
