Project Spooren

In the past sixty years, Spooren has earned a reputation as a reputable jeweller in the north of Antwerp. We had a limited budget for their new shop in the Promenade Shopping Center in Kapellen, which prompted us to make creative use of cheap materials. I opted to have multiplex panels engraved, creating a rhythm of planes, in a high-end shop design. Despite the budgetary restrictions, the new project looks extremely elegant. Working in a shopping center only added to the challenge because of the additional security features, the small floor area of the shop and the close consultation with the concierge.
